That will give you the time it will take to empty and you can work from there to decide how big a container you actually will need--a pint, a quart, a gallon, multiple gallons, etc.

it makes no sense to throw out old potting soil, just add some organic fertilizer mix it up and youre ready to go. i have potting soil thats 10 years old and works great

Great video, especially in a world where costs keep rising. Multiple benefits of this video is saving money by purchasing less potting mix, but also might encourage people without much land to give veggie gardening in pots a go 👍. Grow your own and save yourself some money on shopping day, and I promise you when you taste the difference between a home grown veg compared to a supermarket you'll wonder why it took you so long to try it - tomatoes are a prime example lol. Doing a bit of gardening is also a great stress reliever and can involve the whole family.

Ive lost 4 or 5 beefsteak tomato plants in the last 2 months up till today! This is my first year gardening and i could never find any definite information on this, and youe video is as close to what happened to my plants that i have seen. So my question is if theres no cure or prevention for this what are other options? Replace the soil in my tomato bed for next round of plants? Plant something else? I read on a tomato forum a small ratio of bleach to gallon of water and spray around the infected stems and around the soil could possibly slow down thr spread of this, just cant over due the bleach or itll kill good microbes and the plants itself.. Or maybe digging thr top few inches of soil off the top and top dressing the bed with new manure maybe?

Can I bury the hose and emitters in the soil, or will that cause complications? To prevent evaporation and keep water from overheating.

Shouldn't you take the outer leaves off and core it before you weigh it? Seems more accurate before you figure your salt ratio.

Ive had the same containers that he said would crack in 3 years and they've served me well 5 years and still kickin. And i live in Texas, the sun is BRUTAL.

Good video but composting a pizza box is a terrible idea, they're made to be grease resistant so they're all coated in PFAS's (teflon chemicals) which cause cancer

Get the soil out around the roots before cutting. The soil dulls the blades quickly. There are specific pruning blades that work fast and last longer.
